Are you looking for an in-demand and rewarding career as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Portland, Oregon? The U.S. Department of Labor predicts the demand for nursing assistants will continue to grow faster than average through 2020.
Northwest CNA Training offers classes and certifications in multiple healthcare-related fields throughout the country.
At NW NAC Training, we prepare students for work in hospitals, doctor’s offices, assisted living facilities, hospice care, and skilled nursing facilities.
Our training center is conveniently located in Vancouver, Washington and we are an official site for Washington State Nursing Certification, offering both regional and In-Facility testing to students.
Will my certifications transfer from Washington State to Oregon?
Yes! If you plan on working in Oregon, all certifications will allow you to seek a CNA career within Oregon after paying only a $60 processing fee, subject to approval.
The clinical section of the CNA Certification course is two weeks long, with the option to attend early or late classes. In this program, students have the opportunity to work under the direction of a Nurse in an area facility and provide hands-on patient care.
We are affiliated with six facilities for clinical instruction. Furthermore, each class rotates through at least 2 facilities so that our students are exposed to a variety of caregiving experiences.
This exposure makes our students sought-after immediately after graduation and throughout their medical career.
In addition to class work, the $950 NW NAC tuition fee also includes AHA Health Care Provider CPR and First Aid training, a stethoscope, gait belt, and TB testing.
We also provide mock testing, open labs, and practice for state exams. Self study for Nurse Delegation Core Training and Focus on Diabetes are also included in the program.
Contact us today and you can be on your way toward a growing and fulfilling new career as a CNA.
Oregon has training for a CNA 1 and CNA 2. Oregon’s CNA1 is equivalent to Washington States CNA license. Washington does not have a CNA 2. Oregon requires that their CNA’s obtain a CNA2 if they will be working in hospitals in Oregon.See here.
